About Rudraksha and its benefits

The word "rudraksha" is derived from two words: "Rudra" (Lord Shiva) and "aksha" (eyes). There are several versions of the origin of the Rudraksha in the Hindu Puranas, which provide various stories about the Rudraksha's origin. However, one thing is common in each tale: that Rudraksha originated from the eyes of Lord Shiva, after some great penance or some fierce war.

Being evolved from the eyes of Lord Shiva, they are considered very auspicious and possess mystical, healing, and divine properties.

Ancient scriptures mention Rudraksha's greatness and incredible powers, such as the Shiva Purana, the Padma Purana, and the Shrimad Bhagavad. Shiva Purana describes that Laxmi stays where Rudraksha is.

Lord Shiva himself first realized the merit of Rudraksha beads. He handed down the same to the benefit of later generations.

Wearing and using Rudraksha is popular among everyone from Prime Ministers to commoners due to the positive results gained in good luck, good health, prosperity, success, financial gains, and the eradication of evil forces.

For thousands of years, they have adorned the bodies of sages and saints, leading a fearless life on far-flung frontiers seeking enlightenment and liberation. Since ancient times, they have increased spiritual power, self-confidence, and courage and built a positive attitude.

About Rudraksha Tree

The seed of the Rudraksha tree, scientifically known as Elaeocarpus granitrus, is revered in Hinduism and has mystical and divine properties. Around 70% of the Rudraksha trees are found in Indonesia, 25% in Nepal, and 5% in India.

Rudraksha trees are evergreen trees with large leaves. Its height ranges from 50–200 feet. Leaves are large and shining green on the side that faces the sun and dull, opaque, and fibrous on the earth-facing side. Flowers are visible in April or May and are white or yellow. Fruits start appearing in June and ripening near October. The ripe fruit is fleshy and has a seed with a blue shell that is round, oval, and acidic in taste and is sometimes referred to as blueberry seeds. Once the bead's outer covering is peeled off, then comes the actual Rudraksha, wooden in composition, having thorny, rough, and variable macro surface features.

What is a Rudraksha Mukhi

The surface is segmented into a variable number of ridges that classify them into different mukhis or faces. When placed on its flattest end on a smooth table surface, it stands squarely by itself without tilting sideways. The end sitting on the table surface is the tail part of the Rudraksha. In contrast, Rudraksha's mouth can be a bit pointed or elongated so that it won't stand squarely, leaning to one side. In every rudraksha bead, the mouthpart has mukhi very close to each other, whereas, in the tail part, the mukhis or faces are arranged in a fan-shaped or well-spread manner.

According to the strong Hindu trinity God concept, the quantity of these naturally occurring lines on their seed surface defines the seed's power and value. A Rudraksha is made up of the apex or Brahma in which their indentations or mukhis, or their apex, originate. The center area, or Vishnu, is the broadest, and the lines end at the bottom, symbolizing Shiva.

Classification of Rudraksha

Rudraksha beads are classified based on origin, color, and the "mukhis" they have on the surface. Each bead has a different effect on you, depending on the size and number of mukhis it has.
