Rudraksha is a natural product. It is the seed of a fruit. Depending on the soil and climatic conditions in which the trees are grown, the shape and size of Rudraksha vary in different regions.
Size and shape:
In comparison to Nepalese beads, Indonesian beads are smaller in size. Except for one mukhi, both Nepalese and Indonesian beads have a similar shape. Two and three mukhi are elliptical, while four to seven mukhi are nearly round. Nine mukhi to twenty-one mukhi have an oval shape. One Mukhi from Indonesia is elliptical, while one from Nepal (Sawar) resembles Gauri Shankar. 1 Mukhi is available in half-moon and oval shapes in India. The size of the Indian Rudraksha is comparable to that of the Nepalese Rudraksha.
Surface:
The surface of Indonesian beads is smooth. Faces/mukhi lines are typically made up of white thread lines that run from top to bottom. The mukhis/faces aren't as deep as the Nepalese beads.
Price and Availability:
Generally, the law of demand states that the quantity demanded and the price of a good or service are inversely related, with other things remaining constant. Since approximately 70% of Rudraksha production is in Indonesia, compared to approximately 25% in Nepal, beads from Indonesia are readily available and cheaper.
The price of a rudraksha bead is inversely proportional to its availability. For example, two mukhi, 14 mukhi, 21 mukhi, etc., from Nepal are rare beads and cost a very high amount.
Indonesian beads have enjoyed an edge over Nepalese beads for a long time, especially in higher mukhi, i.e., 14 to 21 mukhi, owing to availability and low prices.
Rudraksha trees in India normally produce 1, 2, and 3 mukhi. Indian beads do not have natural holes, which primarily distinguishes them from Nepali and Indonesian beads.
Weight:
Nepal beads typically weigh more.
Effects:
As explained above, Rudraksha is a natural product whose shape varies depending on climatic conditions. It is said that large beads can have better effects. In large-sized beads, internal seeds or compartments get proper placement and distance from each other. For example, 20mm of 19mukhi will likely provide better results than 10mm of 19 mukhi. One should only do the size comparison in the same-origin class, so one should not compare the Nepalese bead size with the Indonesian bead. Due to climatic conditions, Nepalese beads are bigger, but it does not mean they are more effective than Indonesian.
Rudraksha is a divine product, and all Rudraksha should be respected irrespective of origin.
One must not measure or evaluate the effects of Rudraksha on its prices. We have explained a few reasons for the price differences above.
The effects of each Rudraksha are unique, irrespective of price and origin.
Finally, one should have faith while wearing Rudraksha.
It is always better to buy from genuine sources to get the best beads.
