Natural 18 Mukhi
Rudraksha - IGL Certified Eighteen Face Bead from Indonesia (Report No.
132431RD)
Some struggles in
life are quiet ones: office politics, rivals working against you behind closed
doors, or a general sense that people around you don't wish you well.
Traditional Rudraksha practice has long turned to the 18 Mukhi Rudraksha for
exactly this kind of situation. This is a natural, IGL-certified 18 Mukhi
Rudraksha, individually tested and verified, and it comes to you exactly as
shown in the certificate photographs.
What Is an 18 Mukhi Rudraksha?
An 18 Mukhi
Rudraksha, or eighteen-face Rudraksha, is a rare Rudraksha bead in which
eighteen natural vertical lines (mukhis) run along its surface. Genuine
multi-faced beads of this kind are uncommon, which is why authentication
matters so much when buying an original 18 Mukhi Rudraksha - this piece has
been examined under magnification and X-ray by IGL and its eighteen natural
faces have been independently confirmed.
Traditional and Spiritual Significance
The Puranic
verses that describe Rudraksha bead by bead - in the Shiva Purana, Skanda
Purana, and Padma Purana - cover one mukhi through fourteen mukhi in detail.
They do not extend a specific verse to the 18 Mukhi bead. What is said about
the 18 Mukhi Rudraksha comes instead from later Rudraksha treatises and from
practitioner tradition carried forward by Rudraksha scholars, and it deserves
to be presented as such rather than passed off as a direct Puranic quotation. Within
that tradition, the 18 Mukhi Rudraksha is associated with Goddess Baglamukhi,
one of the ten Mahavidyas, whose energy is invoked to calm hostility and turn
an opponent's mind away from conflict rather than to harm them. The bead is
also linked to Rahu, the planet of unconventional thinking, and for that reason
it has traditionally been favoured by politicians, strategists, and creative
professionals who need sharp intuition in unpredictable situations.
Traditionally Believed Benefits of 18 Mukhi
Rudraksha
• Traditionally believed to offer protection
from hidden rivals, envy, and ill-intentioned people
• Said to help turn an adversary's thinking in
a more favourable direction rather than escalating conflict
• Associated with reduced laziness and low
energy, encouraging steadier effort and follow-through
• Believed to support clearer, more intuitive
thinking, useful for politicians, public figures, and creative work
• Traditionally worn by pregnant women as a
protective bead for the well-being of the child
• Thought to bring more stability and
organisation to a person's thoughts, speech, and everyday behaviour
• In pairs, the two beads are traditionally
combined to form a Baglamukhi Kavach, believed to be considerably more powerful
when energised with the appropriate mantra
Deity and Planetary Association
Ruling deity:
Goddess Baglamukhi. Ruling planet: Rahu. Wearers often chant a Baglamukhi
mantra, ideally under the guidance of a knowledgeable priest or astrologer, to
align the bead's energy with its intended purpose.
Who Should Wear an 18 Mukhi Rudraksha and How
This bead is
generally sought out by people who feel surrounded by competition or hidden
opposition - professionals navigating office politics, business owners facing
aggressive rivals, politicians, and anyone in a creative field who wants
sharper intuitive judgement. Traditional practice recommends stringing the bead
in a red or yellow thread, cleansing it with clean water, and wearing it after
the appropriate mantra has been chanted over it, ideally on a Saturday or
during Rahu Kaal under proper guidance. It can be worn as a single bead pendant
or combined with other Rudraksha for a personalised mala.
