Goddess Laxmi is signified as "goddess of wealth"-Dhan ki Devi embraced materialistically and spirituality. While Lord Ganesh is Mangal Karta and Vighna Harta "removal of obstacles." He is worshipped first on any auspicious occasion to get rid of and hinder all the impediments. Prominently Goddess Laxmi and Lord Ganesh worshipped together on the day called "Deepavali-festival of light."

According to Hindu Mythology, once a miser Brahmin was advised by a priest to worship goddess Laxmi to attain wealth and prosperity.

Although another story demonstrates by the scriptures once Goddess Laxmi and Lord Vishnu were communicating, Mata Laxmi became egoistic because everyone worships her. To subside her ego, Lord Vishnu replied that despite everything, a woman resides incomplete if she is childless; these notably heartbroken and doleful words disillusioned Goddess Laxmi.

She went to Goddess Parvati with a heavy heart, and they decided to let her (Mata Laxmi) adopt Shri Ganesh as her son. Mother Parvati gave his child to Goddess Laxmi as she has no child. To show her love towards his adopted child Ganesh, she said that all her wealth, prosperity, and lavishness also belongs to her child Ganesh. Along with this, Riddhi and Siddhi, the daughter of Lord Brahma, are also similar to my daughter, and they will soon marry Shri Ganesh to fulfill the words I have given you, Goddess Parvati.

She blazoned that in all the three worlds, i.e., "Trilok," i.e., Swarg Lok, Patal Lok, and Bhu-Lok, if anyone who did not praise Lord Ganesh with her, would never perceive prosperity in his entire life. Whenever goddess Laxmi worship performs, one will worship Lord Ganesh. Otherwise, the worshipper cannot get Shree of himself, and I did not shower blessings on him.

Another myth reveals that wealth without prosperity, money without wisdom to use, and material gain in the world cannot be perpetual without the intelligence to achieve full prosperity, wealth, learning, and knowledge. It is prominent to worship Lord Ganesh so that one can attain the equivalence between the forces.

Diwali, the festival of light marked as the slaughter of many demons like Narka Sur by Lord Krishna, the return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya subsequent killing Ravana and his arrogance, and Lord Vaman defeated the overbearing Bali; it is proclaimed as a victory over evil, to celebrate this and to bring prosperity, Laxmi Ji is worshipped.
